AGM & Elections (26th September 2007)

Monash University Alumni Association of Singapore held its Annual General Meeting and Elections on 26th Sep 2007 at TMC.

This has been a ground-breaking year for MUAAS, with the following being some of the accomplishments achieved by the 2006/07 committee under the leadership of the President, Bara Kumaran.

• TeamMonash's overwhelming participation in the Singapore Marathon (Dec '06)
• 1st Singapore-Malaysia Alumni Weekend held in Malacca (May '07)
• discussion forums with the Monash Alumni Relations office held in Singapore and Malaysia (Feb/May '07)
• assisted at the Pre-departure Briefing to interact with the new Monash students starting their studies in Australia (Jun '07)
• inaugural international alumni summit held in Melbourne where leaders of various alumni chapters gathered to share their ideas (Aug '07)
• facilitated and celebrated the success of over 200 Monashians at Singapore's Graduation Ceremony (Sep '07)

Bara made known his heart-felt thanks to the committee for the contributions they made before stepping down. It's certainly a tough act for the new 2007/08 committee to follow, as they take up office to serve the Monash alumni in Singapore in the coming year.
